Majoinen Cottages

Located in North Savo in Tuusniemi, by Rikkavesi lake. Majoinen Cottages offers three large holiday homes for rent all year round, located approx. 1 km from each other in beautiful natural scenery in Tuusniemi, in the immediate vicinity of Kaavinkoski.

Holiday apartments

In the spacious cabins, you can enjoy the beautiful nature and, for example, listen to the sound of Kaavinkoski. On sunny summer days, it’s nice to bask in the sun and occasionally cool off in the waves of Lake Rikkavesi. Each rental cabin has its own beach and outdoor saunas in summer. In autumn, berry picking and mushroom picking places can be found within walking distance. The cottages are comprehensively equipped and modern.

Saunaniemi

Saunaniemi’s large (176 m2) and cozy holiday home was completed in 2006. The holiday home has a large spacious living room with lake view, 3 bedrooms, hall, kitchen, fireplace room, laundry room and very spacious sauna (wood-heated), 2 x toilets and large terraces , some of which are covered. There are 6+4 beds, a sofa in the fireplace room and 2 beds in the hall. Smoking indoors is prohibited. You can bring pets to this holiday home!

Kiviniemi

The log-built holiday home in Kiviniemi was completed in 1989. The extension and renovation were completed in the summer of 2013. The covered terrace was completed in spring 2021. The holiday home in Kiviniemi has a large open living area, 3 bedrooms on the ground floor, 1 bedroom and a loft on the upper floor (lower space), hall, kitchen , toilet, utility room, dressing room, washroom and sauna (wood-heated). There is another toilet in the laundry room. The sauna and washing facilities have their own entrance from the terrace. There are beds for 9 people. Pets are not allowed indoors.

Koski

Koski’s holiday apartment has a large spacious living room with wonderful views of the lake, three double bedrooms, hallway, kitchen, two toilets, dressing room, washroom and sauna (electrically heated). There are beds for 6+4 people. Four beds in the living room with two sofa beds. You can bring pets to this holiday home!

Nearby activities

The nearest shops are located approx. 15 minutes by car, in the urban areas of Kaavi and Tuusniemi. The town of Outokumpu is about a 40-minute drive away. If you want to spend a shopping day, you can drive to the cities of Kuopio and Joensuu in about an hour.

In winter, the nearest skiing center can be found in Tahko, which you can drive to in just over an hour.

The 2.5 and 20 km hiking trails of Seinävuori’s Rotkolaakso are only 22 km away by car. Ahvenlammi decket fireplace is located approx. 6 km away and there are also excellent outdoor trails in its surroundings, e.g. Silmäsuo circuit approx. 1.2 km.
