Tiirantuvat cottages

Located on the shores of Lake Vuotjärvi, Juankoski, North Savo region. All cottages are located far enough apart for each resident to have their own peace. Each cottage has a pier and a rowing boat on the beach. Each cottage has a living room with a TV, sofa and fireplace. Free firewood allows guests to make their stay even cozier.

The cottages Mäntyranta and Koivuranta include a living room-kitchen, two bedrooms, toilet and shower facilities and a wood-heated sauna. The living room has a storage soapstone fireplace. There are eight beds and the level corresponds to a four star rating. The cottages Niemelä, Kuusela and Mäntylä include a living room-kitchen, a bedroom, a toilet and shower room and a wood-heated sauna. The cottages Kuusela and Mäntylä have six beds and a soapstone fireplace in the living room. Niemelä cottage has four beds and an open fireplace in the living room.

A traditional Finnish laavu hut and BBQ area are available on site. Fishing licenses can be purchased at Tiirantuvat. Bikes, canoes and boats with outboard motors are available for rent. Berry and mushroom picking are popular in the surrounding area.

The nearest supermarket is 15 minutes’ drive away, in Juankoski. Tahkovuori Ski Centre is within 45 km. Some places to visit in the nearby: Ironworks environment and museum in Juankoski, nearby National Parks, Rautavaara Forest Manor, Bomb’s house in Nurmes, Leaning Tower of Pisa, Tahkovuori in Nilsiä, Kuopio Puijo tower etc.
