Eräpaimen holiday apartment

In the Eräpaimen holiday apartment, you will be accommodated to a high standard in a scenic location on the shore of the clear Suvasvesi lake. The high-quality apartment has room for 14 people. Clear water Suvasvesi surrounds the holiday apartment on three sides. In calm weather, you can even hear the bells of Lintula Monastery, and Valamo Monastery is only 18 km away. Juojärvi and Heinävesi rapids are also nearby, e.g. Karvio’s rapids.

Fish Cottage

The fishing cabin in a scenic location offers high-quality facilities for fishermen. The clear water Suvasvesi is famous for its salmon fish and a very abundant stock of pike. In July, there are good opportunities to catch crayfish and spotted crayfish. Nearby are also Heinävesi rapids, Karvio rapids and Kerman rapids. In Paloki, 4 km away, there are the famous Paloki salmon ponds, where a catch of rainbow trout and trout is almost certain.

Party and food services

Eräpaimen offers party and food services for groups of 7-30 people in their premises. There is also the possibility to organize spaces for up to 250 people in the summertime through partners. Eräpaimen is a specialized in game- and fish dishes, including, of course, mushrooms and berries, real local food from your own area. For smaller groups, Eräpaimen prepares batch food at home by simmering and using an open fire.

Hut and smoke sauna

The hut intended for hiking is a cozy gathering space for getting together or group meals in the glow of an open fire. The equipment of the cottage includes electricity, water, gas and a kitchen. In addition, the home has excursion accommodation for six people. In hut, you can cook salmon over an open fire, grill meat, vegetables or enjoy soot pot coffee. A traditional wood-heated smoke sauna is an unparalleled relaxing experience for people who are not in a hurry and want to enjoy life. After the smoke sauna, you can take a dip in Suvasvesi or visit the open air in winter. The smoke sauna can accommodate 12 people.

Activities

Hunting

Deer and bear hunting as a dog hunt for small groups of 3-5 people. Hen bird hunting is offered by Eräpaimen as dog and ambush hunting. Hunting takes place through partners all over Finland.

Fishing

Self-guided and guided lure fishing in nearby lakes in Suvasvesi and on the rapids of the Heinävesi route. It is also possible to rent small boats with a motor. The most common prey fish are pike, perch, zander, and in rapids rainbow trout and trout. Eräpaimen also offers facilities for work groups for ice fishing during the winter.

Crabbing

The lakes around Eräpaimen have a very abundant population of spotted crayfish. Eräpaimen offers guided crabbing and also prepare a crab feast.
