Merilä Manor can accommodate around 50 people at a time and there are 19 rooms available, from comfortable single rooms to rooms for up to four people. The manor’s atmospheric chambers and Aittahotelli’s well-equipped rooms are all cosy, high-quality and spacious. Aittahotelli’s cozy rooms are also equipped with mini-kitchens, but of course breakfast is always included in the accommodation. Ala-Merilä Hotel Rooms, completed in 2022, are located on the side of the new main building.
The starting point of Merilä Manor’s food philosophy is top-quality raw materials, from which delicious food is prepared. Good ingredients are based on freshness, local food and a clean growing environment. The food menus are compiled mainly based on principles from Northern Ostrobothnia, but recipes from Kainuu are also used. Menus for parties and meetings are customized according to the customer’s wishes.
The manor offers meeting services in an atmospheric country milieu in all four seasons. Built in 1811, the main building and extensions have dining rooms for 260 people and meeting rooms for about 285 people. There are spaces for events of different sizes, from recreational days for 10 people to parties for nearly 300 people. In addition to larger party spaces, the Manor has six smaller group meeting spaces.
In connection with the events, program services can be implemented through partners. Also the nearby Oulu River and the porch located on the opposite bank and the nearby trail offer an excellent setting for self-guided camping.
The manor’s three sauna facilities are located in the area; wood-heated Upper Sauna (capacity 8 people), electrically heated Lower Sauna (capacity 15 people), and a traditional and atmospheric Smoke Sauna (capacity 15 people). The saunas are located right on the bank of the Oulu River, where you can also find a pier for cooling off. In addition, it is also possible to bring a portable hot tub to the saunas, or even several if necessary.
