Kaijansaari cottages
Located on the shores of Onkivesi in the Lapinlahti, about 50 km north of Kuopio. Cottages Antti and Lauri are build in 2000 and enlarged 2005. The cottages are for the whole year use. There are beds for 6+2 persons and a balcony for 2-4 persons. Both cottages includes own sauna and a private beach with a rowing boat for the tenant to use. Cottages are 45 meters from each other.
Around beautiful rural landscapes offer good opportunities for various sports. In summer, the terrain in the surrounding area is ideal for hiking and cycling, as well as lake boating. For winter you can eg. skiing, snowshoeing and snowmobiling. Onkivesi offers plenty of opportunities for many types of fishing, both in summer and winter. The nearest golf course is 26 km away. Siilinjärvi Kasurila Ski Center can be reached in about 30 minutes and Tahko Ski Center in less than an hour. A tennis court is about 3 km away.
Kaijansaari has an organic farm where blackcurrant, buckthorn, strawberry, apple and raspberry are grown, which you can buy pre-picked. In summer, you can also buy fresh berries picked by yourself.
