Located next to the Hossa National Park, Suomussalmi, Kainuu region. Resort area is situated on the beach of the beautiful lake Hossanjärvi in one of the most sparsely populated areas of Europe. Here you can find a mini-market and a cafeteria (summer time) as well as equipment rentals on top of cottages and campsite services.

The company offer accommodation for different budgets and tastes. The options are from a simple summer cottage to high standard log cottages. Lakeside cottages range are from 2-6 people. On top of being a great wilderness area, Hossa National Park is a popular travel destination and also has a colorful cultural history.

Camping area included 32 powered campsites on a peaceful place by the lake on a dry and level terrain. Maintenance building has toilets, showers, cooking and laundry facilities. You can make use of common sauna during the communal hours (1st June – 31st Oct) or you can book it privately outside these hours (extra charge). Lovely sand beach right in front of lakesides saunas are also suitable for children.

Hossa’s hiking trails offer something for everyone from easy day treks to several day hikes, and has also excellent trails for mountain biking that covers all levels of ability. Nearby has an endless amount of lakes and rivers, which are perfect for water activities. Hossa is often referred to as a fisherman’s paradise and for a good reason. Many enthusiastic fishermen and women come to enjoy Hossa’s rapids and crystal clear ponds year after year. The Hossa National Park and its surroundings have 40km of traditional style cross country skiing tracks that pass through our premises.
