Cottages

The Villa Vonka cottage can accommodate 6 people. Downstairs there is a bedroom with a double bed and another bedroom with two single beds. Upstairs there are two more single beds. Villa Vaara cottage can accommodate 4 people. The cabin has a double bed and one single bed on the upstairs loft. The sofa downstairs can be folded into a 140 cm bed. Villa Vaara also has a fireplace.

Both cottages have a sauna, which is nice to relax in after a brisk day outside. The loft and terrace have good views of the Torniojoki river and the Matkakoski Vonka stream. There is a barbecue hut and a porch in the yard area, which are free to use. The accommodation includes high-quality sheets and towels so that you can enjoy your carefree vacation at Matkakoski. The equipment also includes snowshoes and children’s slides.

Location & Activities

Vonka Village is located in Matkakoski, with good road connections, in beautiful landscapes where you can enjoy the peace of nature. You can admire the northern lights from your own porch and from the beach you can go fly fishing and challenge your fishing skills. You can find new kayaking routes at Ylitorni, the routes are suitable for both beginners and experienced kayakers. Aavasaksa has great terrains for hiking and a 3-slope skiing center where children are also taken into account with its own carpet lift. Possibility to organize guided activities through partners. It is 20 km to Ylitornio and 40 km to Tornio. There are 3 rowing boats for rent for river fishing.
