Vekkilä Museum Yard offers a traditional country atmosphere in a beautiful environment. The garden is full of berry bushes, apple trees, and traditional biotopes. It is an ideal place for families with children and groups.

Accommodation and services

Accommodation is available in idyllic cottages and sheds (2-4 hh). Accommodation can be booked in May-September (3-6 days for large groups). In addition, the farm has a conference sauna, a charging point for electric cars and the possibility of camping. Meals can be arranged for groups upon request, and the food is prepared from local, organic and wild ingredients. Sup boards, fatbikes and canoes can be rented through partners.

The museum cafe is open on Sundays from June to August. Vekkilä Museum Yard organizes events, work demonstrations and courses. On request, pony riding, animal-assisted activities, animal care camps, canoeing and nature trips, and tradition days. You can also buy sheep products such as loins, meat and yarn.
