The Parola Armour Museum located in Parola is a special military history museum that opened its doors in 1961. At that time, the museum was entirely an outdoor museum, and over the decades the museum area has developed and grown all the time. The museum presents the history, development and use of Finnish tank and anti-tank forces in the independent Finnish Defense Forces. The museum’s collections include approx. 70 armored vehicles, 40 anti-tank weapons and a unique armored train. The museum organizes several different events and occasions throughout the year, which offer things to do and new experiences for all ages.
Tankkitupa serves as a good place to take a break and refresh yourself, where you can enjoy tasty donut coffees, ice creams and other delicacies. There is no option for lunch, but savory options are available in the form of hamburgers, meat pies and other snack.
