Accommodation

Outdoor Hostel is popular year-round among both outdoor people and business travelers, who appreciate the opportunity to get out into nature and jogging paths directly from the hostel’s yard. It is easy to get to the hostel with your own car or public transport, and there is plenty of free parking space in the area. The hostel has a total of 29 rooms (2-4 person rooms) and a total of 79 beds. In the hostel you will find a common kitchen and living room, sauna, laundry room and free wireless internet. In the caravan area, there are more than 80 caravan spaces, each with its own electric plug, limited tent spaces and comfortable shower and sauna facilities, as well as a shared kitchen and lounge. The hostel has a laundry room for use by caravanners as well. Urban Caravan

Activities

Ski center

Ski resort in the city! Laajis has a total of 12 slopes and a toboggan hill, 6 lifts and, as the season progresses, three snow parks. The slopes vary from green slopes suitable for beginners to black competition slopes. Laajis Snowland is a versatile ski area for beginners and families. Snowland’s carpet lift and sompa lift are easy for beginners and the slopes are gentle. Snowland Minipark has easy presses and little jumps for tricks. In the area there is also a sledding hill maintained with a slope machine. Ski center

Adventure park

Laajavuori Adventure Park is one of the largest in the Nordic countries and there are more than 2 km of breathtaking rope slides and tracks. The adventure park expanded for the summer of 2023 with two new tracks! The new jungle track offers more adventures for families (110cm up), while the Black Panther offers an additional challenge for adults and really tests hand strength! Bikepark

Laajis Bikepark offers versatile routes for downhill, enduro and XC cycling. On the slopes of Laajavuori, there are routes of different levels, from relaxed cornering to more demanding driving. The area’s terrains also have everything from challenging rhizome trails to smoother outdoor trails. In addition to e-fatbikes, the rental shop also offers children’s electric mountain bikes, full-suspension enduro bikes, downhill bikes and protective equipment, and downhill scooters. Frisbee golf

Laajavuori radat offers long fairways in beautiful scenery for passing the puck as well as a lot of technical, precise playing. The great height differences challenge even the most experienced player to develop their skills. The Frisbeegolf courses were renewed for the 2023 season! Instead of two separate amateur and pro courses, the fairways of the 18-lane course have their own yellow baskets for beginners and blue baskets for those who throw more. Frisbee golf
