Erä-Eero Wildlife Center

Located in the middle of the wild nature, in Lieksa, North Karelia region. The Uuronlampi observation lodges are situated in a beautiful spot by the lake. The opposite shore is a steeply rising wilderness.

The lodges

The lodges are secure deadwood log cabins where you sit on comfortable chairs or even take a little break and lie down in a bunk and have a little snack. There are 8-10 different photography cabins and about 30 photography blinds. The two observation lodges can accommodate 20 people. The cabins have heaters for winter, sleeping facilities and earth closets. There are wheelchair ramps and spots for the persons with limited mobility. Please note that accommodation option is only for those who participate in ready-made programs!

Animals

Wolverine is the most observed animal and it can be seen year-round. Other visitor are bears, wolves and fox. In the forest landscape they have several small photography hides. Erä-Eero operates and produces program services year-round to view and photograph wild animals life.

Ready-made program:

– Included: Welcoming coffee, introduction to the company, snacks for the night, insurance, use of listening device, guidance.
– For additional charge: Breakfast, dinner, accommodation, sauna, smoke sauna, barbecue hut, cleaning.
– Please note: Clothing suitable for weather conditions. Everybody should bring their own cameras, tripod heads, binoculars and recording devices.
