Discover the museum and its services: Salpa Line Museum
In the outdoor museum area and in the indoor exhibitions, you can learn about the construction of the Salpa Line and the everyday life of the fortkeepers through photographs, objects and authentic forts. Experience the museum on your own, on a guided tour or with an audio guide in Finnish and English – and soon also in Swedish and German!
The museum is connected to the Museum Café, whose cozy atmosphere and fresh pastries invite you to stop for a moment and have a cup of coffee. The café also serves lunch, and catering services are available for groups.
The museum grounds can be rented for meetings, parties and events, and the entire museum hill can also be booked for larger events. Bicycles can also be rented from the museum.
The Salpa Line Museum offers something to see and experience for all ages.
In addition, the museum area is bordered by the approximately 50-kilometer-long, easily accessible Salpapolku hiking trail, which progresses through the landscapes of Miehikkälä and Virolahti, following the course of the Salpa Line. There are good services at the rest stops.
In the Salpa Line Museum area, you can stay overnight in a half-team tent in the spirit of national defense or experience the experiential Tentsile tent accommodation. Both offer a unique way to spend the night in the historical landscapes of Salpalinja.
Spend a different and interesting day on the Salpa Line.
