The cottages are located in the village of Tihusniemi, Pieksämäki, South Savo. It is 18 km to Varkaus, 25 km to Pieksämäki, 20 km to Leppävirta and 75 km to Kuopio. There are four cottages for rent in their own peaceful locations.

A spacious and accessible cottage in the peace of nature on the shore of Väärälampi. Suitable for holidays, remote work, representation and small parties all year round.

A 100-meter accessible path and a pier have been built in the area, which is accessible by wheelchair. The shallow sandy beach is very suitable for children.

Myllytupa offers wireless internet, a sauna, a fireplace, and well-equipped basic amenities. In the yard, there’s a barbecue hut, and a rowing boat is available for guests. Explore

Sirpukka
1 bedroom, 4 + 2 people

A cozy cottage on the shore of the clean-water Suontijärvi. Suitable for vacationing all year round, the cottage has a living room and kitchen, a bedroom downstairs, a loft and a separate area for children. In the yard there is a terrace, a gazebo, an outdoor grill and a wood-heated lakeside sauna.

A rowing boat, a pier and a peaceful environment provide a good setting for relaxation and fishing. Explore

Hiskonhelmi
2 bedrooms, 2 + 2 persons

Hiskonhelmi is located on the shore of Lake Suontjärvi in a stunning natural setting. Birds and wildlife thrive around the cabin – the area is ideal for nature lovers and birdwatchers.

The cabin is equipped with a heat-retaining fireplace, wood-burning stove, and air-source heat pump. Down by the lake, you’ll find a sauna, a dock, and a child-friendly sandy beach.

Vuor’lahti
1 bedroom + loft, 4 persons

Vuor’lahti is a log cabin on the shore of Lake Suontjärvi. This nature-oriented destination is perfect for fishing, berry picking, mushroom foraging, and hiking – a nature trail starts right next to the cabin.

The cabin features a circulating air fireplace, an air-source heat pump, and good amenities. By the lake, there’s a wood-heated sauna and a dock with swimming access.

Nature and Activities

The nature surrounding the holiday cabins offers excellent opportunities for outdoor activities, hiking, berry and mushroom picking, and fishing. The cabins are set in a peaceful lakeside landscape, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the serenity and beauty of nature.

Nearby you’ll find the Vedenjakaja trail network, Kivikuru, the Pieksämäki Partaharju disc golf course, and various nature trails for hikers and nature enthusiasts.

A rowboat is included in the cabin rental. Additional rentals include an electric outboard motor, canoe, snowshoes, and linen packages.

At Mukkula Farm, you can also meet farm animals such as goats, sheep, and chickens, which guests are welcome to visit.

Kinderhaus und Sandkasten. Die Lage am See ist wunderbar, sehr ruhig. Preis-Leistungsverhältnis stimmt so, dass wir unseren Aufenthalt definitiv in bester Erinnerung behalten werden. Ein weiterer Aufenthalt in dem Haus wird immer wieder ein Thema sein.”
