Hetan Kota

Located in the province of Lapland, near the village of Heta, on the shore of Lake Ounasjärvi and at the starting point of Ounasjoki. Hetan Kota offers homely and individual accommodation for different groups, families and groups of friends. Accommodation

You stay on the shore of the wonderful Ounasjärvi in ​​cottages or in the rooms and apartments of the main building, which resembles a Lapland hut. Depending on the season, you can use e.g. rowing boats, bicycles, kick sleds and snowshoes. You can also relax in the warmth of the beach sauna, cool off in the cleanest air in the world and take a dip in Lake Ounasjärvi, regardless of the season.

Hetan Kota also offers a few electrified caravan spaces. The easiest way to book caravan services is by email or phone. The following services are available:

Services

Hetan Kota offers car transport services in the Hetta-Pallas and Hetta-Ylläs area exactly according to your needs. In addition, you can take a convenient boat taxi service from your own beach directly to the starting point of the Hetta-Pallas route. From Kota, you will also get the keys to the Mustavaarantie gate, snacks for the first days of your hiking trip, a delicious breakfast, a warm beach sauna, and a refreshing open air swimming in winter.

Activities

There are several hiking trails of different lengths, groomed ski trails, and waterway and mountain biking trails. Your Hetta-Pallas fell hike can start directly from Hetan Kota’s yard with your own boat ride, and if necessary, the company will transport your car to the place you want to wait. Fishing is possible e.g. Ounasjärvi or Ounasjoki and small fell lakes. You can claim Heta cooperative fishing permits from Hetan Kota.

In addition to accommodation, Hetan Kota offers guests a selection of different experience packages throughout the year. In the snow-free period, hikers are offered a comprehensive hiking package, which, in addition to accommodation, includes breakfast, a beach sauna, car transport services and a boat ride to the start of the Hetta-Pallas hiking trail. In winter, it’s time to head out to enjoy nature, pack your lunch and go on a ski trip, go snowshoeing on the slopes of Jyppyrä or go on a sleigh ride in the wilderness.
