A spacious and well-equipped, winter-friendly cottage and a lakeside sauna are located on the shore of the clear and fishy Lake Pyhäjärvi in Karelia. The cottage was built in 1978 and expanded and renovated for winter living in 2008. The cottage has electric heating, a fireplace, an air-source heat pump and solar panels
The building also has a sauna, a washroom and a separate toilet. There is accommodation for 6 beds, and the sofa in the living room also has space for two people.
In Kesälahti, near Lake Pyhäjärvi in Karelia, is a completely renovated log-framed and board-lined farmhouse, Sampola (75 m²), built in 1937. The house, which is inhabited in winter, offers accommodation for 6 people, and in summer there are 2 additional places in the barn. The house offers amenities such as electric heating, a bread oven, an air-source heat pump and solar panels. There is also a log lakeside sauna, which was built in 2011 right on the shore of Lake Pyhäjärvi.
The Peltoniemi and Sampola cottages are self-catering, meaning guests are responsible for their own meals and cleaning. However, cleaning and linen can be purchased if desired. An outboard motor and an electric outboard motor are also available for rent. There are good fishing opportunities and berry and mushroom picking areas nearby.
