85 Kms Thru Hiking Karhunkierros Trail – Oulanka National Park
If you are a Nature lover living in or visiting Finland, chances are that you have already heard of the legendary Karhunkierros Trail. In English, this roughly translates to the Bear’s Ring trail although when I actually went through the entire trail myself, it turns out it is a thru hike and not a ring at all.
When I was trying to plan the route, I found very obscure information in English and as a foreigner found it challenging to understand where to start and finish. I decided to document the entire trail, the resources such as shelters and fresh water sources and the journey in hopes to make it easier for others to follow.
