Yli-Kaitala Holiday Resort
Located in pristine landscapes of Iitti in Päijät-Häme region. Our family business started in the hospitality industry when we logged the wood for the first cottage from our own forest in spring 1992. Over the last two decades our family has built up an authentic and unique place on the shores of Kettujärvi lake. Nature, history and customers’ desires and requirements have played a central role in our expansion.
While respecting the pristine beauty of the natural landscape and the history of the estate, we aim to offer a wide range of eco-friendly tourism services, which at the same time emphasise the safety, privacy, entertainment and comfort of our guests. These values have guided us in developing the local infrastructure.
Accommodation
VILLAS AND COTTAGES
All Villas and cottages are equipped with:
Fireplace (not in Tuuliviiri), Sauna with a wood-burning stove (if you are staying in Tuuliviiri, sauna is available by reservation), Shower ( with underfloor heating), Air conditioning, TV, radio, CD-player, refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher (not in cottage 3), microwave oven, coffee machine, vacuum cleaner, electric heating, rowing boat, pier, life vests, barbeque and garden furniture, outdoor lighting, outside wall socket for car heaters.
MINI-HOTEL PIHATALO TUULIVIIRI
Mini-hotel for 8 + (8) person. Can be rented as a whole (130 m²) house, with 4 hotel standard bedrooms. Free Wi-Fi. Every room has two 100 cm-wide beds, armchair, digital TV, kitchenette: electric stove, dishwasher, microwave, refrigerator. Each room has WC and shower. There is also the possibility to book the 45 m² Pellavatupa parlour as a living room or extra bedroom.
Camping and campsite
Our event campsite is open at the time of big events of Iitti, lahti and Kouvola. The price includes the use of toilets, showers, cooking and dishwashing facilities, drinking water points and dining areas in our service buildings. There is also a drainage point for wastewater from motor vehicles. Electricity will be charged separately.
Ketunleipä Restaurant
Ketunleipä restaurant is our cosy private restaurant close to the main building. Restaurant offer breakfast and other meals and it is also the perfect venue for business meetings or your wedding or any other family celebration in the picturesque Finnish countryside. The lounge upstairs has good facilities both for parties and meetings (seating for up to 115 people) including a video projector and air-conditioning.
Activities
Holidays in Finland are famous for "simple pleasures": long way walks in nature, boating, fishing, sauna, evening near a fireplace and sweet sleep in the fresh forest air in a wooden house. But if You want something else to do, we offer activities for all ages. We rent all equipments that you need for your vacation.
